Well, I guess if your adrenaline's pumping, you don't feel the need for food or the bathroom. Have seen a few showers though.

How come Jack Bauer never needs to stop and take a dump?

It is FOX TV that does the dumping, on the American public.

This show might be worth all the praise heaped upon it, but I wouldn't know, having never watched an episode. Might have been great if they hadn't slavishly and brainlessly adhered to an artificial and absurd 24-hour format each and every time out. You can certainly do that once, maybe even twice, but to expect viewers to believe that this one man has had eight really, really jampacked days in his life, and that also just as conveniently, all the villains/allies/whatever relevant to those eight days have also acted on the same insanely compressed schedule, is just an instant turnoff. If you insist on the concept, why not play with it, at least a little--24 individual days represented in a season, or each episode representing a month, etc. Even that wears thin quick, though. Just use the Japanese title "The Jack Bauer Fightin' and Fussin' Happy Fun Time Let's Talk Why Not Power Hour" and be done with it.
