    The ultimate No 1 for me is Airport", although it is not entirely about an airplane. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Vn8uX4_hI8 The father of all "bomb on plane" movies.

    Another one I like is "Ransom "with Sean Connery . Brilliant game of wits and surprising ending. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tshp5_QCVPkI could find only this on Youtube, but they have it in tsutaya.

    Iwould also recomend to all moms "Flightplan" with Jodie Foster. She is brilliant as ever, this time as mom, devoted to find and save her kidnapped and hidden somewhere on the plane girl, although the everyone is against her, and thinks she is crazy and delusional.

    And don't forget "Die Hard 2", where McClane must help land the plane where his wife is safely.
