Good old USA paranoia hounding yet another artist out of the country. I often visited his statue in Vevey on the shores of Lac Leman.

No matter if he was born a Jew or a Gypsy or a Brit or whatever, he was one heck of a movie man. I still enjoy watching his early movies from the silent era. Later when he became too political, his films became extremely boring.
His love for young women was always fascinating, too ...
