"fatal flaw is an almost surreal lack of jokes."- "aided on his drink-sodden adventures by his thuggish but resourceful and sexually irresistible manservant Jock Strapp" - "These caricatures are too crude to be offensive, but also too stale and lazy to be funny." - article

11% rating on rotten tomato's. I have seen the trailer, it really sucks

"Depp plays Mortdecai as a human Looney Tunes character, a snobbish playboy narcissist so enamored of his comically absurd new mustache that he risks driving his disapproving wife, Johanna (Gwyneth Paltrow), to divorce."

This sounds like it would be hilarious, but one of the IMDB commenters says eating a live rat is preferable to watching this movie. Yikes!

You can't really go after what people on IMDb write. They also marvel about Interstellar which was a crap movie.

Do what any smart person would do, if you want to see it go see it. If you don't, don't. I've found that sometimes reviews aren't worth the paper they (used to be) printed on. What I love you might hate, and what you love I might love too. You never know, critics have been wrong in the past.

Just make up your own mind.
