Please No More Harry Potter Books and movie deals. Harry Potter needs to find a girlfriend. That should be the next series.

I was thinking epic fail the minute they said Hollywood was making a movie about the July 20 plot. Hollywood should stick to pure fiction. They always screw history up. Cruise might have been able to pull it off if not for Hollywood, as long as he is not directing. I would rather watch the Sebastian Koch German version I think.
A saving grace might be Kenneth Branaugh in the movie as well. He played an excellent Reinhart Heydrich in Conspiracy. Heydrich was a fascinating and bold character, though certainly not the hero that von Stauffenberg was.
In other news, von Stauffenberg's eldest son is highly annoyed to have Cruise, a scientologist playing his father. I think he should quietly wait for the movie and then sue for every little misrepresentation of the man. But that is just because I am a lawyer......as well as a caveman.

Harry Potter bumped to summer 2009? Man, that means Japan won't get it until 2010, or '11. So sad. You guys seen Ironman yet? It'll be there soon.

The Harry Potter move just justified piracy for a lot of people. Maybe even myself. That is one giant delay.
Thank you for reminding me! I had been meaning to rub that in! I saw it.
It was great! Many will complain of not enough action, but there are plenty of brain dead non-stop movies out there for those people. Not saying its high-brow, just that it may not be low-brow enough for some. Downey was perfect, and a surprise.

Thank you, JT, for a terrific preview! Looks like it's going to be a great year-end movie season.
(I have not seen Iron Man, but it's on my list now. Casino Royale was terrific!)
