Of books from '10 can't wait to get my hands on SYJUCO's Illustrado (Eng. translation 2010)-- apparently the best novel from the Philippines in ages-- and RAJAN's Fault Lines.
Currently reading KUHN's Jiang Zemin bio 'The Man Who Changed China'. Good holiday book for those wanting to understand CCP 3rd Gen leadership, and psychology of current Chinese elites. Highly recommended!

—“Possessed,” by Elif Batuman seems interesting.
Actually I like this book review article. Sometimes it seems JT can show some real book appreciation. Hopefully in the New Year there would be many more interesting book reviews and please please, no more books on Japanese food and restaurants. Thanks.
