Even with its implied imperialist connotations, I believe baseball is the lesser of two evils when compared with the game of cricket that usually accompanies British colonialism. Anyone from baseball playing nations would start dribbling as they struggle to follow the dull and awkward pace of cricket in any of its rule incarnations.

NeoJamal, shame baseball originated as rounders in Britain and is called by many in England as silly boys rounders.Bit like American football which was a copy of Rugby.

There are many theories as to the origin of baseball, none universally accepted. Yet Brits always like to run down popular American sports such as baseball and football as being childish and derivative, inferior to the British original. Strange, and telling.

Elias has written both fiction and nonfiction about baseball >
This book sounds like fiction.

Sounds more like pulling baseball into politics or maybe, having an agenda in writing a book and pulling in any event that seems to match that agenda.
