I talked with many veterans and civilians about their experiences during the war, and putting anything more than a few isolated experiences into a movie seems like the best that we can expect. Having read a biography of Mr. Zamperini's, I do not see how any movie can do his story justice. At some point I will probably see the movie, but I will not be rushing out to a movie theatre to see this film.

Is there any point in talking about this movie? I don't think it'll be shown in Japan. The last time something like this happened, wasn't the mother of a cinema owner threatened in her own home?
