It's really strange being a child of the 90s, having watched music videos on MTV for a long time, until suddenly everything changed. Now everything IS on the internet, and while it's not bad, it's still not really the same thing for me. There was something about turning on the tv every afternoon to watch top 10 countdowns and the like. Oh well. Gotta move with the times.

I remember when color tv first came out.

If videos were on the decline its only because they sucked. Videos went from strange and interesting to a bunch of clips of the band playing or rappers lounging by the pool. Watching show-offs play their instruments or act pompous while surrounded by babes is okay sometimes but not 24/7. As if they didn't have enough money to hire people to make an interesting video with actors or CG or something.

Boring. This article is entirely U.S. centric. Not only that, it ignores any genre aside from Pop.
Chris Cunningham is alive and kicking, people!

I bet the newest trend will be people making their own videos for a song, independent of the artist. Call it a visual music video remix, cheap movie editing software and tons of content make it easy for anybody to throw together a video. Now all we need is talent!

You want to see a good video, type in twofun and canon on Youtube search.
