My favourite movie. Don't destroy my memories, Scott.

I wonder if it will be based on a Philip K Dick novel like Bladerunner or simply be the product of some infertile hollywood hacks mind...

I have no clue about Mr. Scott's financial situation, but to my eye this is nothing more than cashing in on previous work. Kind of like the way the Beach Boys used to repackage their greatest hits every 3 or 4 years.
I'd lay odds that the new movie will be in 3D and disappointing.

I was super excited the first few moments of reading the title until reality set in and I realized that the movie will undoubtedly be over produced into a glossy 3D mania of mindless action and special effects without a proper story plot to hold the same fascination as the original.

I hope it would star Harrison Ford and be loyal to the original, so many sequels in Hollywood, (being both good and bad) they are running out of ideas lately..

I certainly hope Scott doesn't bring back Harrison Ford except maybe in some cameo role. That would be like bringing back William Shatner to star in a new, ahem, Star Trek.
thepro - Prepare to have your memories destroyed, ha ha!
"Bring back Rachel and I don't give a damn if she's a replicant"
Hear, hear!
Scott had better round up Vangelis to do the music score, if they're still around.

Agreed with all, Serrano. BTW - Vangelis is a he, not a they.

And it had better be raining and dark throughout.

It`s official: there are no original ideas left in Hollywood. Time to break out Ghostbusters 4 and Weekend with Bernie 3.
