UK electronica band Haiku Salut to tour Japan

Haiku Salut are an instrumental dream-pop-post-folk-neo-everything trio from the UK who fuse glitchy electronics with accordion, piano, glockenspiel, trumpet, guitar, ukulele, drums, loopery and laptopery.

Haiku Salut released their second album “Etch and Etch Deep” last year to critical acclaim. The album was awarded four stars or above by The Observer, The Guardian, MOJO, Clash, Drowned in Sound and NME among others. “With luminous vibes and electronics that chime, strum, sparkle, dance and glow, the trio evoke worlds within our own” (Drowned in Sound).

Haiku Salut will tour Japan with fellow bands from Ricco Label. RiLF are a Tokyo-based post rock band featuring an infusion of rock and beautiful classical instruments such as piano, violin and viola. They were formed by Calu, the vocalist of Matryoshka, and Takahiro Kido and Yuki Murata who are the composers of Anoice. Oversleep Excuse are a steel pan wielding post rock ensemble made up of multi instrumental and international members. Yuki Murata, pianist in Anoice, performs solo works with three other instrumentalists. Finally, Merry Christmas join for their final gig in Tokyo, blending raucous folk rock with intricate time signatures and glittering instrumental passages.

At the Tokyo show, Ricco Label produced LED candles will be given to those who arrive early, and kazoos will be given out at the entrance for some audience participation.

I just watched the official video to their "Hearts not Parts" song. In it, a young Asian woman murdered an older Caucasian man and buried him in the woods. I'm sure they will be popular here.
