Obviously any sort of nuclear device is terrible but Japan attempted to develop nuclear weapons in WW2, they would have dropped them on other countries if they hadn't lost the war, I wish Japan would stop playing the victim card...

Progress has been achieved in achieving nuclear weapons free zones in South east asia,Africa,Carribean,South pacific, Central asia and Latin america.

These zones have reduced worries of regional nuclear arms race.

It can be done for for more zones not covered by nuclear weapons free treaties.

The world free of nuclear weapons is a better world, eliminates worries in nuclear arms race globally and makes world very much safer.

World needs to make a nuclear free Koreas zone next and also a nuclear free Middle east zone, which will reduce much worries for citizens in these zones.

All nations need to strengthen international law in regards to nuclear weapons and move forward on more nuclear weapons free zones.

People are not addressing these problems in a meaningful way.

All of us have to get involved in solutions to these problems. We need to know what are the problems to moving forward in these goals, and to do away of with these nuclear weapons.

President Obama has already started a policy to move towards these issues.

Climate change woes is not so urgent to solve ,as these problems in regards to nuclear arms race.

More people/more media need to be empowered to see these issues and they need to work in an empowered way ,in working for a nuclear weapons free world.

correction- We need to be aware of dangers of nuclear weapons because of WW 2.

  • gogogo at 07:43 PM JST - 15th June

rajakumar: Please get your facts correct, an estimated 73 million died in WW2 in total, not because of the nuclear effect of it... in fact some 500,00+ people died in Japanese POW captivity alone. Axp 2.2 million died from nuclear actions in Japan.

I'm not downplaying anything here, none of this is cool, it is important to get facts correct.
