ANA to lower int'l fuel surcharge for Oct- Nov

TOKYO —

ANA has applied to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism to revise its fuel surcharge on international flights from Oct 1, 2011. The fuel surcharge is fixed for a period of two months, after which it is revised on the basis of the average market price of Singapore kerosene for the two months previous to the date of application for revision. As jet fuel decreased to an average of $128.02 per barrel from June to July 2011, the surcharge will be lowered.

The surcharge on routes from Japan to Europe and North America will be lowered from 29,000 yen to 25,000 yen; on routes to Hawaii and Indonesia, from 18,500 yen to 16,500 yen; on routes to Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia, from 15,500 yen to 13,000 yen; and to South Korea, from 3,000 yen to 2,500 yen.
