Wait until we start driving Tatas. An arrogant nation can be punished by not buying its products.

Most of the Japanese people have taken it for granted that earning only through the exports is Japan's birth-right. Situation seems different but not so grave. Japan may slide by one rank and become world's third largest economy, in line with the prediction by economy experts.

You mean that most probably this year China will move up one place to become the world's third largest economy? Because they're right behind Germany at the moment. That's actually more in line with what experts say. Still, they will be far away from Japan's 2nd rank.

You "forgot" to mention that this ranking is not the real GDP, but based on a PPP calculation.

No sympathy here ! Japan has dug this hole, they can just walow in it awhile. For years the Americans have been asking for access to Japans markets to even out its trade imbalance and offer J customers more excellent American products, thus generating more domestic spending. Instead Japan kept its markets closed and allowed almost no access to the Americans. I mean aside from Krispy Kreme and Coldstone Ice Cream, what else has Japan allowed in from the US ? Then to make matters worse the Japanese went on a full scale, and totally illogical, attack on American beef... while the whole time importing enourmous amounts of chemical and pesticide tainted Chinese products ! What a joke Japan has become in the eyes of the world. Now all they can do is sit back and watch their wealth flow away on down the river... or worse yet across the way to China ! I can't help but laugh at it all, of course it also helps that I'm getting out of here in a month ! See ya !
