Lion Nathan is already owned by Kirin, Db breweries is owned by Asia Pacific which is a Singaporean, and now Independant Liquor is going to Asahi! That pretty much covers every beer in NZ.

If all of this means we are going to get some decent beers in this country, I'm all for it.

Now if Asahi or one of the others could team up with Rogue in Portland ....

Well, we can dream, can't we?

I hope this means a six pack of Asahi Super Dry will soon sell for as little as a half dozen Tui!

I wonder if Asahi will start brewing and selling NZ beer in Japan. We could get a DB Export or A Lion Red at the Lawson. Sweet as, and choice. L&P at the Family Mart, sweet. Bring back Georgie Pie too!!!

    Georgie Pie...blecch

If it makes Japanese beer cheaper in NZ, then great. Although I do prefer Kirin over Asahi any day.
