They are actually saving a ton of fuel now, by not flying them. Pure Logic.

Not exactly true - these new planes are vastly more fuel efficient (18-20%) and will REPLACE existing equipment as opposed to provide new routes. By being late, they are wasting a lot of fuel - sad, but true.

@Mabo: You are spouting absolute rubbish, as gyouza has poiinted out. The 787's will mainly REPLACE aircraft such as the 767's on routes which use a lot more fuel. Unfortunately your logic is flawed.

If the 787 is 20% more fuel efficient will ANA reduce the fuel surcharge for those flights? Of course they won't, demonstrating what a scam it is.

People like you make me laugh Scrote. Always wanting something for nothing. How are you going to feel when a major carrier servicing the routes you want to fly goes bust and the other carriers jack their fares up by 50%? Yes, fuel surcharges are over the top but these people are trying to run a profitable business for their shareholders, not for a backpacker like yourself.

With 2 potentially dangerous so-called 'glitches' within two months of service with their two planes (one each) ANA must be aware that Boeing have been back to the drawing board with the next delivery.

Have any heads at Boeing or their suppliers rolled in connection with all these costly delays?
