Then why waste taxpayers' money on buying risky euro bonds as you have been and talk about doing so again?
Translation: Many economists expect the BOJ to mull further printing of digital yen by expanding it's euro bond-buying programme in coming months if the yen does not weaken as much as the dollar and Europe’s debt crisis deepens.

There are no Eurobonds, thus of course there is no Eurobond buying program. What you probably mean is that they bought Euros.

Japan may buy more European bonds, finance minister says
TOKYO — Japan may purchase more European rescue bonds if a proper system is put in place to bail out the continent’s debt-riddled economies, according to the finance minister.
“If there is any scheme that could help ease tensions worldwide, including financial markets, over the rescue of Greece, I will not reject the possibility that Japan will share some of the burden,” Jun Azumi told reporters on Tuesday. (9/27)

Japan calls on eurozone to swiftly implement Greece aid plan
Japan has invested large sums in bonds issued by the European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF), the relief fund for heavily indebted eurozone countries.
Tokyo has invested around 2.68 billion euros, or 20% of the total amount raised by the first three issues launched by the fund this year to help Ireland and Portugal. (10/4)
