apple, amazon, google, starbucks, they are all doing it...and taking advantage of tax rules that do not reflect global economies and transactions. It's not illegal at the moment, but attracts a good deal of negative publicity for alleged tax avoidance.

apple - accounts through a little office in Ireland; starbucks, sell coffee through luxembourg; the big four auditors' consulting staff also work with them to creatively minimise their tax bills.

It's one's moral duty to avoid being robbed, whether by ruffian or suited hoodlums.

Statist: "If you don't like it, then leave."

BK: "Okay. Bye."

Statist: "Hey, you can't just leave. That's unpatriotic! "

BK: "Bye, eh."

Totally agree. What has the government ever done for BK, aside from providing the infrastructure that allows it to exist? I'd go a step further and eliminate the food stamps necessary for their employees to work their shifts; if they're not motivated enough to work two jobs, well, we'll ensure that others are. Nothing is too good for big capital.

Keep taxes low for business. Better, keep taxes low for business, and, working people.

Governments have to face reality: taxation in many developed countries is excessive, and unsound economically.

Canada has done well in bringing down business taxes (although it could do more for working people), and the result is more investment, foreign and domestic, is taking place.

More investment means more jobs, which translates into more money in the economy.

, bingo!

I just love all the free market fundies rattling on about this and that but they never make mention of all of the handouts the big companies get.

Democrat believe in helping those who need it. Republicans believe in welfare for the rich. And your "independent conservatives "believe in… Awwww, who's kidding who?. They are just Republicans

Someone hasn't been paying attention. I've often directly stated my opposition to all forms of welfare, both corporate and individual.
