"sluggish demand for milk"... hmmm a real drag, since I don't want to touch margarine... can't even identify half the chemicals on the label ingredients

seems that demand was lowered due to a couple rather huge problems involving the milk products industry... but it could also have a bit of a relation to the demand from across the water for cheese and milk products... seems Chinese like cheese after all.

Heh, this reminds me of the rice shortage some years ago. People addicted to rice were forced to buy "inferior" imported rice. Perhaps butter addicts will be forced to buy "inferior" imported butter heh heh

As someone who doesn't eat dairy products, I couldn't give a toss about supplies running short :p

I thought about doing this but I was worried it might turn me into a smug a-hole who goes around lecturing others about it. In the end I figured nothing was worse than that, so I passed.

I hear that the quality of butter has gone down because the farmers aren't putting much corn in the cows' feed because of the high cost of corn because corn is being used for fuel because there's a shortage of gas because too many Chinese are using it!
