    Japan should halt all food imports from China. They should import only European and American food. Their wallets should be large enough...

    And as a result JT (Japan Tobacco) has registered 27%+ decline in profits (news source NHK) and what about other importers? Plus Record High Inflation, so ultimately consumers have to suffer.

    While many products from China can and should be imported, foods are not on that list. There's just too much hassle when the quality can't be assured. Here in the US many stores have stopped selling frozen vegetables imported from China. No one in their right mind would buy frozen fish from China. Chinese imports should be limited to products that aren't to be consumed.

    Yes triple888... what about those American imports ? With the dollar and yen hovering at about equal value, you'd expect the Japanese to wise up and shift alliances over to the Americans.... one of their few remaining friends in the international forum mind you... but noooo, once again, Japan is hell bent on making the citizens suffer through more ridiculously high food prices and scandal after food scandal as local merchants prey on unknowing citizens with chemical laden food products !

    When will the sheep of the nation shake themselves from the stuppor they are in... or could it be the chemicals have taken their toll. Lord knows I feel drugged half the time when I'm here. Love to get back to the US to just shake the cobwebs ! What a disaster headed for Japan. Locals can't supply enough food, China's crap is... just that. And the Japanese have all but pissed off their only real ally the Americans. Gee, I guess that leaves Canada and the Aussies. Hmmm, maple syrup and beef ! Whatta tasty combination that must be !

    I agree. Our fruits and vegetables are hand picked by our army of underpaid illegal immigrants. We can beat China at this game any day! We won't bring up the beef thing though...

    Who still eat chinese food (imported from China) in Japan?May be only chinese with fanatic nationalism?Japan is so strict with 1 or 2 beef bones from US and they still import foods from China!If it is for the sake of trade balance,import something else from China;because whoever get sick in Japan,they will rely own the country's medical system.If there are too many sick ,they will flood the system.

    NOOO! One bag of Chinese gyoza can supply a typical Japanese farmer's chemical pesticide needs for a month. Wont someone think of the Japanese farmers??

    i really wonder why those Japanese are scared of all Chinese foods? the dumpling crisis has not got a result at all, what proved that those insecticide or pesticide trigered by China side? China and Japan both need to investigate with accuracy and precsion on this,and show a fair result for all. I'm sure not all Japanese masses have ability to consume EU and USA made products,some of them are too expensive. CHINA-made foods are consumed in Japan,it means they are groups who need it.If Japan custom strictly inspect all import foods,have strict rule for food-move and transport,no unclean foods have an access to enter Japan at all.

    The gyoza scare is just the latest in a long line of pesticide-tainted Chinese veggies that has gradually given them a bad name and a reputation for poor quality. The gyoza was simply the last straw.

    I am always happy eating the type of food Chinese people eats, except certain type of Cantonese foods and Taiwanese smelly tofu. In fact I am still keep eating Chinese boiled dumpling (水餃) which are popular among informed Chinese people including overseas Chinese (華僑), Hong Konger, and Taiwanese.

    However I don’t want to eat fried dumplings (鍋貼) made by Tianyang Food (天洋食品). Whoever wonder why Japanese are scared of eat Tianyang Gyoza should eat it by themselves.
