So which GE executives, shareholders and directors were bought off to approve this just when then entire World has taken a step back to watch the direction of China's economy?

I'm thinking the majority, if not all of them. That's what "buying something" means in the regular business world. This isn't one of those scenarios like how, for example, Japan allegedly bought off an IOC member's vote for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Ok fine. The USA is selling off its main industrial brands to the Chinese. Personally If I cannot buy US, Japanese or Korean I will settle for European before I would think about Chinese made products. Just dont trust the reliability and service support
