Probably more people are buying who can't really afford it, to take advantage of the low interest rates. Sounds like a "subprime" crisis of some sorts is waiting in the wings.
Beelzebub, maybe I'm misreading the article but I took it as fewer units being offered for sale as opposed to greater demand for units. Anyway, at least here prices aren't collapsing like back home. Glad we sold at the top of the market although our condo here will probably never appreciate. If we're lucky it will stay flat in value.
