Frasers opens new serviced residence in Osaka
OSAKA —
Frasers Hospitality has opened the 114-unit Fraser Residence Nankai Osaka, one of 12 new properties this year under both the Fraser brand, and its second brand, Modena.
Located right in the center of the popular entertainment and cultural district of Namba and within easy reach of the city’s top gourmet restaurants, shopping centers and key business complexes, the 14-story solar paneled, Fraser Residence Nankai Osaka is a short walk from the massive Namba station transport hub – which has direct access to Kansai International Airport, and the surrounding cities of Kyoto and Nara.
Fraser Residence Nankai Osaka is owned by Nankai Electric Railway Co, Ltd, one of the city’s most established conglomerates with an extensive real estate, transportation and retail portfolio.
Spacious stylish studios, one and two-bedroom units, feature a fully equipped kitchenette, clothes washer and dryer, state-of-the-art wifi connectivity and a comprehensive home entertainment system.
In addition, residents can enjoy a full range of facilities including a 24/7 gym fitted with the latest equipment, modern steam and sauna rooms, an all-day café and a business lounge that offers internet stations and a dedicated meeting room.
Specialist services include round-the-clock reception, dedicated concierge and security services with full security including keycard access for elevators and in-room electronic safe.
“This new Osaka property is vital to our growing international network as it is a major gateway to the Kansai region, the cultural and historical heart of Japan,” said Choe Peng Sum, Chief Executive Officer, Frasers Hospitality Pte Ltd. “And the fact that we are the first international-class serviced residence operator in the market reflects the city’s growing importance as a center for medical, chemical and pharmaceutical corporations, creating strong demand for mid to long-term accommodation from the multinationals who have operations in Osaka.”
Fraser Residence Nankai Osaka brings to 35 the number of properties currently managed by Frasers – a total of 5,000 individual residences in 21 cities worldwide. And, with another 6,000, residences on the drawing board, the company is on course to manage more than 10,600 individual residences by 2012.

As long as the guests don't look out the windows, it might work.

With so much to enjoy and see and do inside, there is maybe not much need to look outside at all. It sounds wonderful.. i wish i could move there. I am no fan of Osaka really for a few reasons.. maybe Frasers will make more of these places farther north?
