No more Kodak moments. Something new will come from it though. Unlike Japan's business model, in America, the old will make way for the new. I think Japanese companies seek immortality over longevity.

Fuji is a good company. They saw the end of emulsion photography coming and did something about it; unlike Kodak. I like Olympus optics, this should be a good tie up.

A few days ago, Sony and Olympus. Now it's Fujifilm and Olympus.
I would say that Olympus seems to be doing quite well despite the multi-billion yen scandal.

good decision for fuji. i was worried about if olympus would be bought and dissected it out by foreign funds.

Forget about a "business tie-up" or a " link-up." Fujifilm should just take over Olympus.

I wonder did the banks behind Olympus encourage the banks behind Fujifilm to do this? One of Fujifilm's outside auditors is a director of both Sumitomo Mitsu Banking Corporation (SMBC) and Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group (SMFG). SMBC are also a major shareholder of Olympus, while SMFG is their main lender.
Classic way protecting their assets...

Just another example of the "Private Club" keeps things how they were and how they are , no change.

Maybe they're interested in taking "cooking" lessons from Olympus?
