    Oh,...in the US!?

    "Oh in the US"

Isn't the USA the center of the universe ??? Hmm, a rather short lived time at number 1 for Toyota don't ya think ? I mean afterall GM has held the top spot for more than 70 years ! And if it wasn't for Americans taking over the main operations the past 10-15 years... well hell, Toyota would still be a second rate outfit that survives on "free overtime", "karoshi", and a culture of racism and sexism... like it's Japanese counterpart. Make no mistake, Toyota America works ! But like McDonalds Japan, Toyota Japan does things, umm, err, well... the Japanese way !

I have been researching this car situation for a looooooooong time. The deeper the situation is examined, the more it looks too complex to resolve overnight. When Toyota was in dire straits, I gave them advice, and they were able to act immediately. I also know that the people leading the three US automakers are smart, so it really is the environment of manufacturing. There were times I could give some good info, but even if correct, no one could probably act on it. My concern is the affect this has on the middle class.

That my friends is because its super fly to drive a Buick if you are a Chinese party official. I'm not hot on GM or Toyota personally. Being the biggest just means you cater to the appliance buyers rather than passionate drivers.
