Japan’s economy continues to recover

The economy is expected to resume growing in the current quarter,

As some of us with a brain already knew and have been saying, these other things mentioned are only minor blips the trend is upward.

Unemployment has never really been an issue here - although the quality and security of some of the jobs leaves a lot to be desired. Often amazed how little people are paid and manage to survive on.

Often amazed how little people are paid and manage to survive on.

And because they get so little, they can't afford to have children, so the population decreases, consumption declines, deflation ensues, and the government squanders.

“The economy remains in recovery even though consumption and some other parts of the economy are weak,” the Cabinet Office said in its monthly economic report.

Yet growth, inflation, and employment targets are all missed, the first one by a whopping 400%. If this is a recovery, I would hate to see what they call the alternative.

All I know is I am spending less actual money although with the tax increase I have been spending more. In other words I am making do with less money. If this is recovery........

Going great guns and loving it hahahaha

Sangetsu if people are low paid then whos to blame , the person who has no skills, no qualifications, who bummed around at school didn't bother swatting or learning and is fairly useless? Or the person who sees and opportunity to employ people who will work for peanuts ?

Personally I blame the peanut.

LOL. The folks "with a brain" have been saying that Abenomics is nothing but smoke and mirrors and did not lay the foundation for any sustained growth in the economy -- and the past two quarters' results are proof of that. The economy was too weak to absorb the increase in the consumption tax. Enjoy the periodic "blips" that the huge spending programs provide, but know that the inevitable drop is looming.
