After the US government gets control over GM and Chrysler, foreign autos may not be allowed in the state of Michigan. Some mayors are already trying to set the groundwork. Socialism is coming.

Hopfly, that's not socialism, considering that foreign competition has destroyed a once healthy and viable US market, well it seems like common sense ! Heck by your definition Japan and Korea are the most socialized countries on the planet ! And if it turns out to protect American jobs, well, belly up to the bar and toss one back for good ol socialism !

Hopfly,
Then that means Toyotas, Hondas and Nissans made in the US would be OK to drive in Michigan while Fords and GM's built in Mexico, Canada, Australia and South Korea would be up the creek, right?
What a bunch of Maroons....

Subaru were the biggest partner for GM, helping them with the US market, while they also promoted GM's Saab in Japan. However, Toyota now have a small stake in Subaru, and are trying to exert influence over them...
