TOKYO —
Hino Motors Ltd will join hands with Mitsui & Co to assemble medium- and heavy-duty trucks in Mexico. The companies will form a joint venture, Hino Motors Manufacturing Mexico SA, in Silao, northwest of Mexico City, to start production in July next year.
The joint venture, owned 80% by Hino and 20% by Mitsui, aims to manufacture and sell 400 units in the initial year. The move will make Hino the first Japanese truck maker to go into production in Mexico.
Hino will also acquire a stake in Hino Motors Sales Mexico SA, a local sales firm owned by Mitsui.

Hino/Mitsui to make/sell 400 hino units a year in Mexico, good.

You aren't going to make any money if you only sell 400 units a year. Maybe 40,000 units per year but not 400 units.
Doesn't anyone else see this as being an awfully low number of trucks per year?

Mexico truck business is new to Hino, they are starting small first.
