Way to go Honda, and hybrids just cost 200,000 yen more.

The Insight model is super ugly and inconvient. This is why it failed. Tried to look futuristic but wasn't at all. Make better design next time.

Yeah. It looked like a Citroen of the 1950s, but in those days people bought the cars because they were cheap and frugal. The first generation Prius wasn't so cute either, actually.

The insight looked like a door stop. It was not a fully functional car but did get 60 plus miles per gallon.
The original Prius was not all that pretty either but it worked and had the basic features of a standard car. Hence the success.
Am sure Honda will catch up.

Why pay more when a good modern deisel car will cost less, last longer, be more fuel efficient and emit far less co2 from production to recycling.
I can see the point in markets where deisel is in short supply, but in mature markets? Honda should focus on getting their FCX right.

Can you say 'ugly'? I knew you could. I read a review of the Insight before I bought a Prius. The reviewer said "You don't want to be passed on the freeway by a semi-truck. It'll literally blow you off the road."
I agree with dontpanic. Diesel would be a better route but unfortunately in 'mature' markets (like Tokyo) diesels are being outlawed.
