Nice... Just bash "that country" because you can. And the tariff is so high for a foreign auto here, it's a wonder anyone buys them at all.

agree us autos are crap but the european ones are in some respects superior to japanese. always makes me laugh when japanese say that nobody buys foreign cars cos they are rubbish. if they are so bad then wouldnt be any need for the incredibly high taxes would there as no one would buy them anyway. permanently surprised japan allowed to get away with this

What is the tax level imposed on imported cars? Is it a fixed amount or is it based on a % of the original overseas sales price?
