I'd like to ask Mr Iwata if he thinks their "monetary shamanism" is likely to work, without pro-growth reforms by the bloated central government.

All I see are prices rising for food, train fares, real estate and until recently gasoline. My wage and all the people I am acquainted with have yet to see any salary increases. We are all deferring purchases as the future is unclear. Inflation is going to be arriving late for the BOJ....

Interesting kurisupisu, september retail sales were up 2.3% year on year, so not everyone is deferring purchases.

Individuals might as well opt to spend now anyways as the tax will probably be hiked again next year too, not to mention the promised inflation potentially eating up the purchasing power of one's money if they do manage to pull it off.
