yep any airline could make a profit if all its billions in debt was magically wiped away through bankruptsy protection and huge injection of taxpayer money. wonder how many companies went belly up when they didnt get the money that JAL (governemnt airlines) owed them!?

If they can't make money at the prices they are charging, they are doing something very, very wrong.

I found their fares to be very competitive when I was searching for flights last year. I hope this trend of JAL being affordable is long lasting: the service was pretty good.
