    The "KEY" to low cost biofuels is bioengineering seed plant. To bioengineer plants more suitable for growing under radical new conditions will revolutionize the processing of biofuels.

    As they've found in the US, biofuels are an excellent way of converting soil and sunlight into agricultural votes. Pretty worthless for much of anything else, though, specially fer corn.

    Japan is concerned about not being able to feed itself, but now it's OK to use agricultural land to grow food to burn?? Gotta agree with Nessie, it's a way to get more votes, not more fuel.
