The glass half full syndrome.
Japan still runs a current account surplus.
Japan's problems lie with government waste of revenue... spending like we're still in the bubble... the fundementals of a developed economy (a move away from domestic manufacturing) are all OK.

July exports to China decreased by 12% ( not reported above but details available on other websites ) but hey ...I,m sure the current Japan / China Senkaku spat will not affect bilateral trade because some J- politician told us so just the other day. Btw , right on Dog - the government wasteful spending is still continuing unabated..3 new Shinkansen line extensions announced just yesterday ...gosh..who really needs them? ( apart from the construction companies ) And then they cry about a lack of revenue and having to increase taxes for everyone...one could go on and on.

I have to point out, there is enough money for buying islands and the continuation of elevated, acceptance of tenders for Government Tenders, a Shogani attitude to cleaning up after a Private company Disaster, the denial of Health Checks for children in the disaster zone, due to Budget constraints and an attitude of we must suffer together. The money is flowing to those it always has, they are unhappy because it's not as easy as it was...40 mill at home might be 25 mill now that is a hard thing to accept. The peasants are revolting!....yes they are!
