Ok, but pls wait until 20th Jan.,2009 When Sen. Obama becomes President Obama. Meantime, ask PM Aso what best he can do to stop consequent decline in GDP (before global financial crisis).
HAR!!!!!!!!!!
They'll suffer and suffer dreadfully in this recession!!
According to Japanese logic he'll take care of his "own" first and then and only then will he address the economy.
HHAHAHAHAAHAH, those racist fools..Obama will tax business and then tax the rich and middle class and saddle everyone with taxes for the enviornment. There won't be any money for buying "made in Japan"
This will be a very long and hard recession!!
But the President will be popular, so it is ok!!
Obama should return the favor of offering suggestions by telling the Japanese to shore up their failing banking sector and start tackling the ongoing problem with domestic spending. The Japanese continue to drag their feet on imports even when the dollar hits 94 yen to the dollar. Seiyu, Ito Yokado, Aeon all missed opportunities to bring in fresh and frozen produce from the US these past two weeks. This while resident Japanese struggle with home budgets and the strong possibility of increased unemployment and more economic turmoil as the world stops buying cars and electronics... the backbones to Japans export driven economy.
Why can't Japan pull itself out of the longest
recession in history? The U S,Europe,Asia and
Oceania had sustained growth for plenty of years,
whilst Japan is still harping on about the bubble
and going back down when it hasn't been up since 89.
Japan Inc is so over like the election.
The really sad part of all this is that Obama can not singlehandedly solve the economic problems. It took a lot of greedy, short sighted fools about a decade to make the mess and it's going to take more than one US president - I don't care who he is - to sort it out.

Don't worry. He's Obama. The moment he's sworn in the world's problems will vanish into thin air. He's got this.

After publicly calling on Obama to produce economic miracles, Japan's business elite meet in private:
"What are we going to do? Our export market is gone!"
"Obama is a Democrat, he'll try to save Detroit first!"
"We spent money nurturing Republicans, but now we have Obama!"
"Japan must export to survive, what will we do??"
"Hmm, why do we have to build cars...how about tanks?"
"Call that Tamogami guy...he's looking for a job!"
