TOKYO —

Ginza Tanaka Kikinzoku Jewelry KK on Wednesday previewed its summer collection of “furin” (wind bells), “sensu” (fans), and a golden beer tankard, each crafted from generous amounts of the company’s trademark precious metals.

The “furin” will be in stores from June 20 in 18-karat gold and silver. The former will have a simple, round design with a mirrored surface and will sell for 200,000 yen. The latter will have two types: a round design and a design with horizontal stripes etched onto its surface, and both will cost 12,000 yen.

The golden “sensu” will go on sale from June 26, and will be adorned with a gold leaf containing 94% pure gold. Its reverse side will be made from black washi paper and marked with the design of a transparent dragon. It will be on the market for 20,000 yen.

Last but certainly not least, a 500cc beer tankard worth 5 million yen went on sale Thursday. It is made of 850 grams of pure gold, and its design resembles a bamboo plant.

Ginza Tanaka is located in Ginza, Shinjuku, Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo, Yokohama, Sendai, Nagoya, Shinsaibashi (Osaka), and Fukuoka.
