Finger lickin' good, no doubt. Awful as it sound, it is a cut above typical economy class food. Enjoy you grease bird folks and remember where your air sickness bags are located.

Well at least you MIGHT be able to identify what you're eating now! I've been served some very questionable meals in economy class. Why anyone would want to eat this grease-drenched swill is beyond me, especially on an airline where you have to stand in line to use the crapper.

Leading to even longer lines outside the toilets as KFCs well know laxative properties kick in.

Food on the plane should (and use to) reflect the delicacies and culture of the destination country. Nice to see that JAL thinks that American culture is comprised of eating greasy fatty foods that contributes to super sized obesity.

I love the sound of "premium economy class". I don't know exactly why but it always makes me chuckle.

Usually plane food (at least in economy) is NOT that great, so instead of upping up on the quality of the on some of these airlines they want to substitute it with greasy chicken??

What's next? American Airlines will start serving Wendy's and donuts. I wouldn't be surprised. the airline industry is starting to scrape the bottom of the barrel now.

Food ain't gonna make me choose an airline, price is.

Fair enough - they were recently bankrupt and are looking at ways to cut costs and recover - but serving dreadful fast-food is not probably the way to go.

I never ask for the chicken option on a plane: too many bad experiences with fat and gristle.

From my experience, it doesn't matter which meal you choose on an airline cos they all taste the same as the package they come in. Who remembers Flying High? "Fish or chicken?"

KFC plus TURBULANCE = DISASTER ...

As with the cup noodles which are already served and appear to be popular I assume the "smell" factor should also play out well for KFC in maximizing demand on board. Hope it doesn't play out the other way however.

Not in Business Class. Means basically not good enough? And the second para looks like it was lifted direct from a KFC promotion doc.

I'd take it, but what it means is that the chicken products will have to be reheated and likely end up being soggy. I will say that I once tried some of the "Christmas chicken" after a friend brought one to a year-end potluck and it was surprisingly good.

We've all eaten worse than KFC.

I don't care. I don't even touch the food on board. BUT I don't want to fly 12 hours inside a fast-food. KFC stinks, makes the whole plane and passengers stink too.

I suppose a little better than, snakes on a plane?

When they were serving snake, I was still eating in planes. That was a real delicacy, but reserved to first class (miraculously got upgraded).

I hate the stench of KFC. Nothing sounds worse than being cooped up in a little tube surrounded by several hundred portions of KFC.

Last time I flew JAL, I got soba. Not bad...not great. At least the view was nice.

This will put people off flying JAL! Who would want KFC on their flight!?!?

They probably would have lost customers if they said they were putting it into business and first class!

I wouldn't fly JAL anyway (past experience) but if I ever did, may I order just "a cup of coleslaw" ? It's really edible !

Just had some KFC the other day and when you eat it "freash" it's great. However, I find it hard to believe they will be delivering it to the passenger fresh from the pressure cooker. These are going to have to be re-heated on the plane and as good as KFC is when you buy it, there is a LOT lost when it gets re-heated. If you "nuke" KFC chicken, it goes from decent chicken to grey rubber very quickly.

Gotta chuckle at the people who equate KFC with grease and sickness. Enough people like it that KFC does good business and they are making money in Japan.

Junk food is addictive, Serrano, that's why KFC are doing good business in Japan.

They do more business in the USA! As for JAL do not fly them so it is not an issue to me. Usually fly ANA or UAL and their food is food but that is not the point. I want to fly and be as comfortable as possible. Paying hundreds extra for a $5 meal is stupid.

KFC cant be a decent meal its kinda only junk snacks... composed of only brown color makes me sick, and wish green fresh vegetables.

If you don't like it don't fly with them, write a comment card or pack your own food for the trip.

Honestly, I'm not a fan of KFC in Japan after trying it 7-8 years ago for the first time. Seemed to be more greasy than I remember.

As stated before I buy from whatever company gives the best deal. Unless another company has a slightly higher price and choose them for the miles.
