Lexus to unveil sport coupe concept vehicle at North American International Auto Show in Detroit
TORRANCE, Calif —
Taking the new Lexus design direction one step further, the LF-LC 2+2 sport coupe will be unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit on Jan 9.
“Crafted from a clean sheet of paper at the request of Lexus headquarters in Japan, the LF-LC blends both high technology and organic shapes to connect the driver to the machine,” said Mark Templin, Lexus group vice president and general manager. “The clean lines of the vehicle emphasize motion, creating a distinctive look for this futuristic sport coupe.”
Conceived as a design exercise to explore the future of Lexus design, the LF-LC was created at the company’s Calty design studio in Newport Beach, Calif.

HUH? What is cut from a sheet of paper? I doubt Toyota starts making cars (even concept ones) out of paper...

It just means that they are using a new and different concept direction for this one, less beige if you will. There are already several pictures of the car on the net. It looks nice.

I'll probably go for a gt86 when they come out, I've been waiting for that one for ever.

Problem with Lexus sports cars is the price. Far too high for what you get. The recent LFA offering by Lexus is/was 3 times more than the Lambo Gallardo, more than the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano and 6 times more expensive than the 193 mph Nissan GT-R. Will the price be realistic on this new one??
