Put aside the favorable scenario backed by the post-disaster reconstruction, gloomy world demand & high yen would not help stimulate demand for Japanese goods for export. Weaponry export would definitely an excellent niche though amid (potential & ongoing) conflicts everywhere !

The japanese have to use the high yen to go overseas, takeover/merge with companies around the globe.

Confidence up Today...Down Tomorrow....this is what market indicators suggest. TSE can't sustain 8,500 mark even.

Historically, Japanese economic success was contributed by small business. .

They need more help from J. Govt. First, Japan really needs to lower the corporate tax (the highest in the world) and the investment bankers need to start taking risks and ending instead of buying US treasury to jump start Japanese domestic economy.. I hope they have guts to do these.
