McDonald's selling all carbonated drinks for Y100

TOKYO —

McDonald’s Japan has started a campaign to beat the summer heat by selling all carbonated beverages at its outlets for 100 yen. The campaign, which began on Friday, will continue until the middle of August.

A McDonald’s Japan spokesperson said that because of power shortages and the intense summer heat, sales of drinks have already gone up this month.

beat the summer heat by drinking carbonated sugar which dehydrates you even more!! And while your dehydrating yourself, why not replenish the salts lost from perspiration with a burger and fries?? Hyrogenated oils and trans-fats are SA--BISU!!!

I can't recall the last time I drank a full calorie carbonated drink, and the diet versions are apparently terrible for your health as well. So I stick to ice tea or black coffee, and water as my drinks of choice.

The McD morning menu offers a fille'o'fish and coffee for 20 yen less than the price of the burger alone.

Why not keep the price the same and DONATE the difference to the Tsunami Victims ?

Hey, Costco gives you an all you can drink cup included with a hot dog for 200 yen.

    Serrano

Yeah, but Costco knows you're going to spend at least 5,000 yen, probably a lot more during your shopping trip there, whilst McD's knows you're going to spend only somewhere around 500-1,000 yen.

Only 5000 ye? It's more like 15,000 yen and up per person. It's hard to resist buying one of those pizzas.

Carbonated drinks are poison in disguise. The ingredients in these beverages have shown to cause disastrous side effects including bone loss and diabetes. The carbonation created by carbon dioxide into water is a waste product of cellular and food metabolism therefore the body wants to dispel it. Thus nobody want to add waste product to the body. The aspartame has been linked to convulsions, depression, insomnia, irritability, weakness, dizziness, migraines and temper changes. The food dyes which is artificial coloring have been related to illnesses such as Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder and cerebral lesions. The phosphoric acid that causes the soft drink to fizz can lead to the weakening of the skeletal construction and hence osteoporosis and cause bone fractures especially to women. So why drink this poison, if it's going to ruin your health?

Yep and why during the summer, all that carbonation and sugar is not only bad for your teeth, but it'll just make you thirstier, especially after eating fries in a Japanese McD's....way too salty and then you quench your thirst thinking you got your high blood pressure under control when all of a sudden you go into a diabetic shock from all the sugar. Water, water, water, sports drinks, the occasional tea is much better for your body.
