Toyota said Monday that it does not disclose its daily production plans, but the firm has said it produced 14,000 units a day in 2015.

...ok, they do not disclose daily production, let us have daily/weekly/monthly sales figures, too low to disclose, i guess.

Excellent. They will finally get the vacation time I am sure they have all earned but never take....and the whole country is not off at the same time. Excellent.

No vacation I am afraid. They usually take that time to do mass training sessions and such. They will however be able to get home much earlier than usual, which means the traffic to get home is going to be absolutely insane.

I thought Toyota would have looked at the vulnerability their just-in-time manufacturing system and of relying on single suppliers in their supply chain management, especially after shortages from Tohoku manufacturers post 3/11 tsunami.

No business continuity planning, Toyota?

Too often a Plan B lacking in this neck of the woods.
