Nationwide Intercollegiate Marketing Competition in English to be held

Marketing Competition Japan Committee at Kobe City University of Foreign Studies is launching the first Nationwide Intercollegiate Marketing Competition in English. The competition is open to all students registered in Japanese universities and will be held in Kobe in December.

To enter, students need to sign up for the competition online and prepare a simple marketing plan for B-Three as a team. Qualified teams will be invited to Kobe where they will make a 20-minute presentation in English before international and Japanese judges to compete for the 100,000 yen cash prize.

The competition is unique in several aspects as it requires participants to present in English and include at least one of the three major social media tools (Youtube, Twitter or Mixi) in their marketing plans. The purpose of the competition is to help Japanese students sharpen their English skills and understand the importance of social media in the business world.

The organizing committee also believes this is a great opportunity for students to prepare to join the global workforce by gaining critical thinking skills through project-based learning.
