NEC to participate in African Fair 2013

NEC Corp said Tuesday it will participate in African Fair 2013 at PACIFICO Yokohama from May 30 - June 2.

As part of its cutting-edge technologies for public security, NEC will showcase some of the world's most accurate fingerprint identification and facial recognition technologies. NEC will also introduce its satellite systems for environmental monitoring and disaster prevention.

"NEC's contributions to the development of social infrastructure in Africa spans more than 50 years across 52 countries and includes national ID systems, telecommunications and broadcasting systems," says Masahiro Yoshikawa, chief manager, Global Business Unit, NEC Corporation. "Our unique technologies in the security and space satellite fields are particularly valuable for markets that are seeking to promote greater safety and advanced meteorological observation."
