And I wish them well. Let's hope this becomes the trend.

By when? I presume it's by 2017 since the next paragraph says that it's a six year strategy? Anyway, I hope this means that zero emission or lower emission cars become more affordable. I'd love to be driving a more efficient car, but the cost is a major issue. Hopefully it will lead to the manufacturers competing against each other, and that will help to drive innovation as well.

Green cars? Now there is a misnomer!
I will use my own two feet to get me where I am going!

I have not owned a car since 1978, now that's deep green!

Looks like people aren't very interested in buying those cars since they only sold 16,600 worldwide.

Go green, Ghosn, go go go!
Well, for a second car, sure, why not?

Unfortunately the Leaf is just still too expensive for the average Taro. Who would pay 4 million for a Nissan that, apart from the engine, is really not all that different from a Nissan Tiida that costs less than half the price?
A Toyota Prius is even 1.5 million yen cheaper.
I admire their courage in pushing through with this idea, but they still have a long way to go before they can take on hybrids.

papa, that Nissan Tiida always makes me laugh. Tiida means 'not' in Indonesian.
