TOKYO —
Nissan Motor Co will recall a total of 166,000 vans comprising models of the Caravan and the Como, a vehicle made by Nissan and sold by Isuzu Motors Ltd, for free replacement of defective parts, the transport ministry said Friday. The vehicles in question may have three types of flaws, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism said.
Some 400 user complaints have been filed since 2003 about the vehicles’ rubber parts catching fire, fuel leakage and noise problems, it said. The vehicles in question were built between May 2001 and last September.
