Toyota a few weeks ago ... then Honda yesterday ... then Nissan and Honda (again) today ... all recalls.
I guess the "Japanese high quality standards" is history.

Agreed, build quality is suffering. Can it be linked to the increased production of their cars outside Japan?

Although the plant location may be considered a factor for the faulty parts, many have been assembled and sold in Japan as well ... which points to either design flaws or poor quality checking.

It's sad to have so many recalls. Not only for the company but for the buyers as well. To have More than 280,000 Nissans affected in three recalls, some with faulty sensor causing fuel leaks and airbag problems. It can be a health hazard. I just hope these recalls can lead to better cars in the future.
