    Love the last sentence...

    3 things

    1. Extra 6 million yen for better brakes, a bit more power and a paintjob?

    2. "Nissan also makes the Altima sedan" - so what?

    3. Last sentence is a doozie. I can think of any number of more important reasons why it isn't great being Japanese.

Wakarimasen - If you look at all the European supercars, the superlight versions are around 5-6million yen more expensive than the standard version. Lamborghini, Ferrari and Porsche all do it. Nissan is by no means different.

yes, but the current GTR (at just shy of 9 million yen) is already better (faster, more mod cons) than all of those. Why the extra 6 million for the minimal extra features of the V version?

"the Japanese automaker said was still a bargain compared to European rivals" but is still an ugly car. For a "little" more you can get an Audi R8.

I still think the best GTR was the R32

a tough sell in this economy but for the money there is nothing that can touch it. The GTR runs with cars costing 2 or 3 times as much.

What a brilliant thing to be pushing when you can't even sell what you're making for the masses and have to cut down production and lay off workers. These guys must be drinking with the GM corvette group.
