Geez - for USD 51k I'd up the ante a little and go for the Tesla (or, music to Nissan's ears, wait for the leaf). Nissan did a fantastic job making the best 6 cylinder 3 liter engine in the world - powerful and fuel efficient (Toyota STILL can't get this one right) thanks to their affordable sports car experience. The leaf should be interesting - but British cars tend to be high maintenance. We'll see...

High time for electric cars,it will save electrical energy wastage.
There will also be less need for more petrol stations.

You must be referring to Nissan 3.5 engine. Good performance, lousy exhaust notes, average manual transmission on the 370Z, between 2nd & 3rd gear, slighty notchy, cheap looking. I rather have BMW M3 (2001-2006) 333hp engine. Very flexable inline 6 cylinder engine, high rpm, great manual box and handling. Also, new Lotus Evora with V6, 3.5 litre Toyota, 276hp engine. Toyota got this engine right.
