    So I guess they are going to retreat to Asia where their bribery will be overlooked. Just another example of pesky govt. regulators and their excessively strict adherence to the law. Where is Mitt Romney when we need him....

    They'll do this massive cost cutting and downsizing and then the world economies, including the US and Europe will explode on the upside. And they'll begin hiring and spending again. It never fails.

    Nomura have always harbored delusions of global grandeur way back to the early 80's when I worked for them.... they are much better sticking to their own territory where demands for accountability and transparancy are lower than Europe and the US (ie: the real world).... their puchase of the Lehman operations was never going to work ....

    how about the cut their expense allowances and bonuses.that would get them plenty of savings right away.
