Beat the Japanese to marketing flying cars featuring lightweight composites, soft-landings, obstacle avoidance..... . Ungirt the earth of steel rail tracks and asphalt. Innovate and seize the market.

I wonder what the stock market is going to do as a result of this news. This is quite a roller coaster we're on.

they don't know what to do today anymore than 60 days ago, hard to see what another 60 days will do. Bring back the EV-1. When GM killed the electric car in the late 90's it also killed its future. The Volt is a joke and in comparison to Japanese, European, Chinese, and an upcoming version through Magna via Ford will be lots of viable electric cars or more electric emphasized hybrids.

GM has dug such a hole for itself there's almost no reason to climb out. Might as well take bankruptcy protection now and find out if there really is anything worth saving. If the answer is no, then the world and the USA can save its money and move on with life.
